Dear Blogland
Sorry for not posting until now!
How are you?
Well, since my last post we have had the Easter Holidays and lots of interesting stuff - its been quite a busy time!
A few major milestones have been reached.
1. Lucas HAS FINALLY SETTLED INTO YEAR 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - it has only taken 2 terms - Lucas had an excellent School Report and his IEP Meeting last week was fabulous. His teacher has arranged for some "really unique - Lucas-styled" changes to the classroom environment - she proved to me during this meeting that she really "gets" him! A big relief.
2. Lucas came second in his Monday Group mini Easter Tournament! - I was so proud! He came second! - and Daddy even got to see the prize ceremony where he was presented with a chocolate Easter Bunny (which lasted a whole 3 seconds after photographing) but....we were so proud! (Before any witty readers say it... no.... there are more than 2 people in his group - there are about 12).
3. The Easter Bunny must have been proud of him - he had two deliveries of eggs - and STILL has some left!
4. The Sun started shining!!!!!! - so we bundled up his "Birthday Bicycle (December) and took Lucas to the local Park to learn to ride his new Big Bike There has been lots of SNOW since December! - it was my Easter Holiday Mission - and I am proud to say.... Mission Accomplished!
I planned to do the hold the saddle thing, Lucas was muttering and mumbling and telling me I wasn't holding the bike right..... and then I turned to tie my shoelace, then looked up and Lucas was gone! - HE taught himself in 5 minutes! - and he has no fear - he loves his bike.
We also got to Stonehenge - on the other day the Sun Shone!! - what an awesome experience - there is definitely some real magical electricity and awe there. Lucas loved it! - and they also take HAND cards! bonus! - Lucas really felt like a free spirit - we are going to take him to Avebury Stones too next time we go.
There... a quick update ....
Welcome to all my new readers - hope this blog is helpful to some.
Best wishes to all!
(Happy Kings Day Sjouke :)
